In May, Emmy came to visit and go to women's conference. One of my favorite things we did was hike the Y with Melanie. I remember that they were so nice and encouraging even though I was having to take a lot of breaks. And on the way down, well anyone who has ever hiked with me can attest that I am irrationally afraid of slipping and careening to my death on the way down. I might be the only person in the world who prefers hiking up than down. So, we all 3 held hands and played a game of question 1-10 where someone posed a question and you rated your answer on a scale of 1-10. I felt so happy.
I was able to attend several SAGE meetings. They were very interesting and made me feel important and businessy cuz we met at hotels and sometimes they even put me up in the hotel and gave us food. That's how I found myself in Park City for a few days with nothing to do (after the meetings). I walked all around town and explored.
Oliver won tickets to Goo Goo Dolls from a radio station. It was a fun concert, and even though we had seats up front, we ended up going out on the lawn toward the end to sway. Daughtry was an opener and he was impressive and also short.
A really fun date night was paint nite. An instructor taught us step by step how to make these paintings. We felt pretty artsy.
Of course, we made our annual pilgrimage to California. We went to Modesto where we:
had some classic back yard nakie fun with the hose.
We went to Chico where I cannot remember a single thing we did, and Oliver and I took a getaway to Santa Cruz:
